1. Mpower Entrepreneurship Seminar

The Seminar focuses on Procurement and the Tendering Process with focus on the opportunities available to women and youth. Other presentations were on a myriad of topics geared towards entrepreneurs including Product Standards in Kenya, Bar-coding Products and Opportunities in Finance available to women. Facilitators were derived from WEF, KEBS, GS1Kenya, KEMU and TMS.

2. Mpower Car Boot Sales

Held twice at Ratna Square, the event creates the opportunity for entrepreneurs and residents of Mombasa to sell their store inventory or just the unused items from the household. The event is open to anyone with anything to sell..

5. Social Responsibility Activities

Mpower Ltd is a value services provider and is conscious of the impact and importance of the society on business. As such, the group regularly undertakes projects and other activities to benefit the Mombasa community.

World Vision Sanitary Pads Project - The group partnered with World Vision and district education officials in Kilifi on a sanitary pads project for more than 50 schools in Bamba location in Kilifi that saw a marked increase of girl’s attendance in schools.

Coast Hospice Visit - MPower Ltd members and supporters visited the Coast Hospice in Mombasa to distribute foodstuff to the hospital’s patients as part of MPower’s Community Outreach Programme.

Drug and Substance Abuse Walk - In association with the Mombasa Sub County Medical Office of Health, NACADA, and Kenya Red Cross among other stakeholders, MPower Ltd participated in the Drug and Substance Abuse Walk at Old Town. The walk was labeled ‘Nimechoka na mihadarati, niokoe’ in support of the community members severely affected by drugs.
